Outreach and Education
Here at Children’s Hospital & Medical Center we believe children are the safest at your facility until a specialized pediatric team is able to transport them to a tertiary center. By assisting your facility with preparedness and providing neonatal and pediatric specific education, we believe your facility will be equipped with the knowledge to stabilize and care for even the most fragile of patients prior to transport. In addition, we wish to provide you with prompt follow-up and response to any transport related concerns. Please feel free to contact our Transport Outreach Coordinator regarding how we can best serve your facility. Pediatric Advanced Life Support Courses (PALS)
The PALS Provider Course is designed to prepare participants to identify and treat cardiopulmonary arrest and common conditions that may lead to cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children.
Project Austin provides continuity of care to children with special health care needs as they transition from the hospital to home by creating community awareness and/or education to local EMS regarding your child.
