David Potach, PT, MS, SCS, CSCS
One of Nebraska’s first board-certified sports specialists, David is an internationally known expert in the field of sports rehabilitation and strength training. A certified strength and conditioning specialist, David earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Creighton University. He earned master’s degrees in both Physical Therapy and Exercise Physiology from University of Nebraska Omaha. David has worked with professional and Olympic athletes at Omaha Sports Physical Therapy and Quest Personal Training and Coaching, and served as a strength and conditioning coach at Creighton University. David was a founding member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association's (NSCA) Sports Medicine Section and a recipient of the NSCA’s Sports Medicine Specialist of the Year award.
Mike Wellsandt, PT, DPT, OCS
Mike received his Bachelor of Science degree from Doane College, located in Crete, Neb., and completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from University of Nebraska Medical Center. He completed an Orthopedics residency through University of Delaware, and is a board-certified clinical specialist in Orthopedics. Prior to joining the Sports Physical Therapy team at Children’s, Mike provided physical therapy in a variety of outpatient orthopedic settings. Mike also serves as a credentialed clinical instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association, and has provided instruction to physical therapy students in both the clinical and classroom settings.
