GraceAnn was diagnosed with persistent asthma when she was just one year old. Temperature extremes, hot or cold, keep her inside. Fortunately, she’s been able to stay out of the hospital. Her family works closely with Children’s pulmonology team to keep GraceAnn’s asthma under control.
This seven-year-old loves to read. She enjoys school, drawing, and playing with her baby sister. Each day begins with a nebulizer treatment. She uses her inhaler daily and takes medication at night.
GraceAnn’s asthma is so sensitive, acid reflux can cause a flare-up. It’s why she can only enjoy one of her favorite snacks, Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, as a special treat.
