Continuing Nursing Education

CNE credits are available for two years after the original date of the presentation. You will see this date listed in the CNE Credit Column for each video offering. Videos will remain available for viewing during that same period.

To earn credit, watch the desired video and click on the CNE Credit button. You will be directed to log into your “CME Tracker” profile. For instructions on how to create a CME Tracker account profile, CLICK HERE. From there, you will be presented with a posttest (if applicable) and evaluation. Upon successful completion of the posttest/evaluation, you'll be presented with a certificate for your records. All successfully completed events will automatically add applicable credit to your transcript in CME Tracker.

Session 1: Pediatric Trauma

Target Audience: Nurses caring for pediatric trauma patients.

Purpose: Examine pediatric trauma in order to respond appropriately.

Objectives:

1. State common injuries in children.
2. Identify considerations for children that are different from evaluation and treatement of adults.
3. Describe the evaluation of the child with trauma.
4. Distinguish children whose injuries should be stabilized.
5. Cite best practices for preparing a child to transfer for a high level of trauma care.
